Need some recommendations on this genre please. I would like to dive into the jazz genre, with particular emphasis on the smooth, funk variety.

Please list classic albums as well as artists I should check out.

I think Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock would be a good example of this right? Cuz I'm gonna check that album out.

Thanks in advance.

Check out Corey "Funkafangez" Stoot from Houston. He's played guitar on damn near every rap album coming outta Houston and more. He's played on Cash Money, LL Cool J, UGK, Z-Ro, Above The Law, Funkadelic, etc. Dude is a legend. Devin the Dude is the one who gave him the nick name "Funkafangez." He's got an album out called "Can't Wait."
