A welterweight matchup between Octagon veterans Matt Brown and Jake Ellenberger has been added to UFC 201 on July 30.

Officials confirmed to ESPN.com on Thursday the bout has been verbally agreed to. The UFC 201 pay-per-view event will take place at Philips Arena in Atlanta.

Brown (20-14) is coming off a one-sided loss to Demian Maia at UFC 198 earlier this month in Curitiba, Brazil. The 35-year-old welterweight is 1-3 in his last four fights, after stringing together a 7-fight win streak between 2012 and 2014. All three losses have come to highly-ranked competition, including Maia, Johny Hendricks and current UFC champion Robbie Lawler.

Ellenberger (30-11) in need of a win even more than Brown, as he's recorded just one victory in his last six appearances. A former collegiate wrestler, Ellenberger suffered a unanimous decision loss to Tarec Saffiedine in his most recent fight in January. His only win in the last three years came via submission against Josh Koscheck at UFC 184 in February 2015.

A welterweight championship fight between Lawler (27-10) and Tyron Woodley (15-3) is scheduled to headline UFC 201.
