BASS
What kinda systems y'all bangin on?
Kenwood-1800max/900rms w/big 3 upgrade and 190v/alt
Kicker 12" compR's 2ohm/dvc rated 800rms each(I know, they underpowered, new amp coming soon)
Kenwood 6 & 1/2" 4 way doors
Kenwood 6/9" 6 way in rear deck
CompRs blew the back out of my box so I'm waiting on a new spl box 2.5 cubes per chamber.

My bass game is weak af but i cant really fit any good subs under the back seat
Aint nuthin to be ashamed of homie, my system ain't all that either. Till I get a new box and a 240+ alt I'm gone be lackin in the db category. I'm wanting to upgrade my whole system to DD 15's and amp but can't really afford it right now.Dat_Meskin wrote:I put jbl component speakers in the front doors with crossovers and jbl tweeters and jbl coaxials in the back doors and for subs i got 2 12" rockford fosgate r1's with an amp i got for free idk what brand lolMex wrote:Everything JBL on mine, speakers, Subwoofer, Amplifier

Have you tried a custom vehicle specific box? Or even thought about just takin the back seat out and building a dual chamber bandpass with a dip in the middle for a 1 person seat so you'll still have some back seat space? Just a thought, I'm not an expert but I got hella ideas on shit like that.

thats some next level shit, are you also gonna get a second battery for that?
And it would be nice to do that but i think i prefer keeping my whole backseat for now, it's very useful knowmsayin lol
the box i have is designed for my truck though so it fits well under the seat, i just cant have any subs with a mounting depth bigger than 5.5" which aint shit

Since you are Mexican and naturally a good carpenter, make your own speaker box that will also be a seat.

Just Google shallow mount subs and I guarantee you'll find some very nice and powerful subs. I was lookin at a new line of DD's today and they got a new shallow mount sub that has the magnet and voice coil on the front of the cone instead of the back. They like 4-500rms and up and sound SOoo good.Dat_Meskin wrote:thats some next level shit, are you also gonna get a second battery for that?

And yea I prolly will need a drycell or stinger batt but I'll do 0/1 guage all around & big 3 and a 240 alt first an then if it still lacking juice I'll get a stinger.
Spent so much tuning up my car I dunno if I'll be able to build a new box, may have to beat the hell out this broke box till I get more time and money it hurts too cuz I'm a bass head an I loves my music. Fuck it doe big j don't sweat da small shit nah mean, life's to short so IMA enjoy it while I got it lol
Just finished fixin the broke box. Coated the entire thing inside and out with fiberglass resin and used reinforced fiber mat and resin on the back where it was broke. Poured resin in the corners and let it pool and harden at 45 degrees. It's not pretty cuz I'm not gonna use bondo to smooth it out, just gonna throw sum paint an be done , it'll do till I get a new one built. Didn't think about takin pics.
Any system related questions just hmu , otherwise piss off an have a nice day.

right now i got the door speakers powered with the head unit only. i was thinkin bout getting a four channel amp for them but i really dont feel like running new wires from all four doors to the amp, u think it will be good enough with the stock wires?
Naturally it would be better with new, bigger(14awg or better) wires, but I have ran amps and speakers off stock wires and if your not shooting for massive power then you should be fine. Just know your vehicles color code so you don't cross the +&- , I've done that B4 and it didn't mess anything up BUT it sounded like ass till I rectified it.
