you walk around outside catching wild pokemon.. the app is designed so that you only catch certain pokemon in designated settings.. i.e. water pokemon if you are physically near water, grass pokemon near grass. Some Pokemon can only be caught at night. You can set the app so that it shows the physical world by making use of your camera

you catch enough to gain experience so you can challenge a gym leader.. once you do that you are thrown into the wider Pokemon Go universe in which you join one of three teams and build your prestige as a trainer

i haven't gotten to that part yet but i'm close shiiit my niggas and I building up to form the most prestigious gym possible

And of course the app can be used for some gangsta shit as well
