you'd prolly want to orient it towards one subject (a "niche")... movies are too generic.. there are a shit ton of sites dedicated to that, so gaining traffic on that and ranking on search engines is gonna be rather difficult. however, orienting your site to something mexican (that you know about) could be better off to you. foods is on the right path, but maybe something specific to mexican-american culture that you and your vatos know about.

and when you market the site, it is better off to market your niche primarily to areas and people that would be more familiar with your topic.. no need to make it known to the whole wide world. maybe make the site in spanish or something to appeal to that crowd.

I agree with that, and heard that it is the way to go to make it, especially in the search engines
guess I was trying to be to ambitious and the idea I had with the site seemed a good way to appeal to more than one niche
In the end, been having trouble with customizing the site (wish I was a computer expert)
I'll probably keep with it for a while the way it is and learn a little more on building a site, once I can actually make a decent looking site I can start buying more domain names and start looking more into niches with low competition and In my area of expertise, I had it originally planned like that, that's why I got a hosting plan where I can add unlimited number of websites
