The NFL’s rules that players “should stand at attention” for the national anthem could be changed to make it clearly mandatory for them to do so, a league spokesman said Tuesday.
NFL spokesman Joe Lockhart addressed the recent comments by Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who said that any of his players who demonstrated during the national anthem would be benched.
Jones said President Trump had reminded him of the NFL’s policy on conduct during pregame renditions of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
The NFL’s game operations manual says the national anthem “must be played prior to every NFL game” and that “all players must be on the sideline” for it. Failure to do so “may result in discipline.”
how is this a bad thing? you are aware the NFL is a business and its key objective is the make money. its kind of stupid to piss off half your fan base and lose money because your overpaid jocks want to make a dumbass political statement.'
the NFL doesn't want to lose money because of a bunch of over paid meat bags wanna virtue signal
"We as a team are very much on the page together," Jones said. "We made our expression. I'm very supportive of the team, but under no circumstances will the Dallas Cowboys, I don't care what happens, under no circumstances will we as an organization, coaches, players, not support and stand and recognize and honor the flag. Period."
Jones spoke with President Donald Trump after the Cowboys played the Cardinals. Jones said Trump said the entire issue could have been avoided if the NFL enforced a rule stating players must stand for the national anthem, however, that is not in the NFL's game operations manual.

fukk the NFL.
look who as the top of the pyramid.
black men are the majority of the league providing the labor while it's yet another racist good ole boys club of white men at the top collecting the wealth.
they know what the argument is about and why kap kneeled.
they change the narrative to make it about the troops so they can tell the black men playing to be good little nwords and shut up.
an NFL player will probably be shot by cops and they'll still ask players to not kneel.
shyt is pathetic like old racist insecure white men and their bullshjt.

Student expelled over pledge of allegiance protest files civil rights lawsuit
A local school district and principal are the center of a federal civil rights lawsuit after a student says she was expelled for not standing during the Pledge of Allegiance.
India Landry, 17, began her silent protest of the pledge last school year, according to her attorney, Randall Kallinen."She had been sitting through six different teachers and 200 some times, she had sat for the pledge," Kallinen said.
But on Monday, Oct. 2, she ended up in the principal's office for texting on her cellphone. And when the pledge began over the intercom, school leaders took notice and took issue when Landry remained seated.
"The school secretary said, 'this ain't the NFL' and the principal said 'you have to stand,' and she said 'no I do not have to stand' and she was instantaneously kicked out of school. They told her she could not come back until she stood for the pledge," Kallinen told Channel 2 News.
