Album Review coming soon. Stay tuned
1. Work -
Starts like Maxo187, maxo has a bouncy flow over the beat. Sick production by The W1lderness & Beatboy. This is a pretty good intro track, the beat changes midway through the song and he just keeps going rapping about shit he does and ridin in the buick with jaymoney and lyndo that they took from HEB. Song is 8/10.
2. Grannies -
Even though this was the single and it's been out for a while, I'm not a huge fan of MexikoDro production. But the storytelling on this track is fire. Because of the beat I give this a 7/10.
3. Capeesh -
Trippie Redd ruined this song with his wailing. Beat is aight, I'm not a huge fan of Maxo's beat selection on this album until later on in the album. Maxo killed this but Trippie Redd didn't add anything of value to this. I give it a 5/10.
4. Bussdown -
Another one of the album singles, I don't like this song. I think rappers have overused the word "Bussdown" since Wiz started using it. Song is 5/10 at best.
5. Hobbies -
Beat is boring but I get the appeal. Maxo ripped this hoe up. Reminds me of a Quiccstrikes type song, so I'll add a point to the song rating just because it sounds like throwback maxo. 6/10.
6. Go (ft. D Flowers) -
Good song except I'm not a fan of the hook.. Would give it a lower rating if D Flowers wasn't on it. I'm waiting for D Flowers to drop his mixtape, he's raw. Maxo has a really good flow on this one. Painting pictures very well through lyrics. D Flowers just fucking killed this shit. 7/10.
7. Beyonce (Interlude) -
Sonny Digital beat, okay let's go... fire ass beat, Maxo fuckin killed this shit I don't know why this is an interlude but after this interlude, everything on the album gets way better. I give this a solid 9/10
8. Astrodome Pt. 2 -
This is a good follow up to Astrodome from Maxo187. Very nice, smooth production from Honorable C-Note. As soon as I saw that he produced it I knew it would be fire. Maxo killed the hook on this. Very smooth track as I said, nice to cruise to or roll up to. 8/10.
9. Love Drugs -
Future needs to be on this song's remix. Just go listen to it if you haven't already. For the type of song he was going for, he fuckin' nailed it. Song is 10/10.
10. Pop Another -
Ok, Tame Impala sample. Teddy Walton on the track. Already know it's gonna be flames. Maxo comes in with the hook, and after that just fuckin' murders it. Remix should have A$AP Rocky on it. Another 10/10 song.
11. Janky -
Another song with great storytelling. Maxo is my personal favorite right now at storytelling. Dude knows how to flow and tell a story effortlessly, though his flow isn't as traditional as most more appealing artists. This song will probably grow on me as I play it more. I wasn't really feeling the rap-singing on the hook. 8/10
12. ATW (ft. 03 Greedo) -
Not really feeling Greedo, But maxo killed this shit. 8/10 because of Greedo, take greedo out and it's a 9/10.
13. Roaches -
This song reminded me of Sorry - Future off the HNDRXX Album. 10/10 song. Great storytelling you can hear the emotion in his delivery and flow.
14 - 5200 -
I like the sample. Song has appeal to soundclouders. I give it a 7/10.
Final Album Rating: 7.71
