all the texas rap legends come from houston/dallas
austin/san antonio r huge cities but never had an impact in texas rap

Are you familiar with 3rd Degree? They came out of San Antonio in the early 2000s. Liveola and Lil Ken we’re definitely the two rising stars. Liveola got locked up for murder (he was recently released), and Lil Ken changed his name to Famous and joined up with Chamllionaire. You can still easily find the original 3rd Degree mixtapes. They had heat.
