Berkeley is a liberal university.. that sometimes lets the alt-right come and and give speeches because of "free speech". When does free speech get closed when it's hate speech? Should Neo-Nazis be able to talk trash about Jewish people and blacks? @J-Don
Having said that the professor is probably right because college kids are more radical about race and politics.
I'm on the Hispanics side. Can't deport them all!!
Btw Is that Dat_Meskin in the pony tail?

how there is no such thing as "free speech"
when students heckle alt-right speakers that is one thing and they had every right to do it, such is the putting forth of politics
evidently they let all that momentum go to waste
cuz all they can do now is heckle students about to take an exam (something they paid for), which goes to show how out of touch you are with the people you are trying to reach
the fundamental purpose of college student activism should be about getting the university doors back open for the surrounding working class communities that increasingly get shut out via tuition hikes/privatization as well revolutionizing the educational content to serve their needs
basically put these colleges in the hands of the community, which is a feat more easily done in urban areas than in suburban holes like Berkeley that for the most part consists of a circle jerk for radical liberal academia
and students like the ones in the video are no better in this regard cuz they do a better job of being cringeworthy motherfuckers than actually getting anything done

you fool i said circle jerk because they are there to do just that and absolutely no mobilization... you know they have been there for decades right
why not make the knowledge they supposedly have accessible to the working class they so avidly talk about? Why not be at the forefront at fighting for institutions to make it possible
instead they congregate at the most expensive universities so the future heads of NGO's can take note and use it to play poverty pimps in ghettos across America
hence no unversial haelthcare, no free college (free for whom exactly?) and no legalized drugs

Doesn't the US Government spend like $7 million per minute? You know how much money that is!?! They can afford to pay college tuition..
Dated 2011, so it's probably more now..
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/government ... 5-million/
Let's put that number in context. There are 365 days in a year, 24 hours in a day, and 60 minutes in an hour. That adds up to a total of 525,600 minutes. Divide that figure into the $3.6 trillion in FY2010 spending and you find that the federal government spends about $6.85 million per minute.
That's right - the government spends, on average, nearly $7 million every minute. That means the cost-cutting measure yesterday only saved taxpayers enough to cover about five minutes worth of spending - less time than it takes to hold the average congressional vote.

No the government can’t afford to send people to college for free. It’s also not the governments responsibility to send people to school. Go to school if you want to advance yourself academically. Otherwise just stop going to school after high school and work for $20 an hour for the rest of your life

Joining the ranks of Michael Dell, Ralph Lauren, and more. The Mark Zuckerbergs and Bill Gates of the world might seem like an impossibly rare species, but there are a surprisingly high number of billionaires who have made it without earning a college degree.
